The younger children’s playground has recently been refurbished with the allocation of Slaintecare funding of €120,000. New climbing frames, swings, balance beams and monkey bars area and an inclusive roundabout were all included in the new design. These items were all in line with the requirements of the local community following online surveys and research completed over recent years. A covered shelter was also included in the new design and has been a big hit.
The older children’s activity area also re-opened to the public in 2023 with a series of balance bars and obstacles to complete following the path around the space.
The committee is currently fundraising for new fencing for the younger childrens playground to protect the are for the younger members of the community. If you would like to donate please follow this link.
