As part of our emphasis on community connection, many of the local schools, from pre school to post primary have completed planting and growing workshops in the community gardens.
These have been a great opportunity for the youth of the area to get involved first hand and to learn more about their environment and biodiversity while being fully immersed in nature.
The local secondary school, Carndonagh Community School, are regular volunteers, providing the student voice to annual events and learning workshops in the park.
We hope to expand on our education offering in the future with a space for water sampling and monitoring biodiversity.
